Her name gained international attention and affection for presenting the world with one of its greatest moment in the history of sport when she scored the first ever perfect ten on asymmetric bars in the Montreal Olympic Games in 1976. And, to top it off the feat, she achieved six more perfect tens, which made her the youngest Olympic gold medalist, only 14 years old age. Not only did Nadia Comaneci draw attention from all directions, but she also helped Romania get its place on the map of the world. Achieving an unattainable score has made her a sports celebrity and popularized gymnastics across the entire world. People's view of female athletes was also altered by her achievements. Her impact on the Olympics was so significant it is that 2 of her moves including the toe-on and release have been named after her. Both have been rated as being high-level difficult.
