Jessica Ellen Cornish, popularly known as Jessie J, is a well-known English musician and singer. Jessie became famous early on for her unique style of music that incorporates soul vocals with pop, hip-hop, and electropop. In addition to her many awards, she has been nominated for the "Critics' Choice Brit Award" as well as the BBC's Sound of 2011". Her music career got underway when she was 11 years old when Andrew Lloyd Webber cast her in the show Whistle Down the Wind. Then, she joined the National Youth Music Theater and performed in their 2002 production"The Late Sleepers,". The singer became famous in 2011 with her first album of studio work 'Who You Are,' which came out on February 28. The album was a huge success from the beginning. In just the first week it sold 105,000 copies in the UK and 34,000 across the US. It topped the charts at number 2 in the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on the US Billboard 200. Jessie is also known for her charity work. She participates in charitable organizations such as 'Children in Need,' and "Comic Relief."
